Facts about Sadie

  • Breed: Domestic Shorthair
  • Color: Black (All)
  • Age: Adult
  • Sex: Female
  • Hair: Short
Sadie was born on 8/4/06. Her and her sister Lulu landed in a bad home. They were allowed in the house when they were very little but when they were about 2 months old they were put outside on a busy street in an apt. building. Some of the neighbors fed them. In January 07 we had a very bad cold snap. They were outside with no food or shelter. Someone called us about them and we took them in. As it turned out they could not be sweeter. They were very happy to have a warm bed to sleep in and good food whenever they wanted it. They are lap cats and love attention. They are good with other cats and my little dog. Sadie is not big on outside. She has been tested vaccinated, microchiped, spay, deflead, wormed. She is good about using the scratching post and the litter box.

About River City Cat Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a rescue group formed in 2007. Our primary purpose is trap/neuter/release in feral colonies. After the surgeries, we find that some cats are not feral. We keep those cats and kittens found before the age of 8 weeks at our foster homes. We will also take in other cats from different situations as we have room.

Our mission is to spay and neuter as many animals as possible by providing low cost spay and neuter programs. Educate people about animal over population and the benefits of spaying and neutering.
Advocate in favor of non-lethal methods for the reduction of feral cat populations. Rescue animals in peril and provide them with veterinary and foster care until they are adopted into loving homes.

Our Adoption Process...

Before adoption, all of our cats/kittens are Felv/Fiv tested, spayed/neutered, microchiped, vaccinated , dewormed and treated for fleas. We have a questionnaire to complete first, then a contract if a good match is found.
