My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Scruffy, Fixed Male, Terrier/Poodle mix, DoB approx 3/1/11, 20+ lbs, partly house trained, leash trained, ok with cats and children. Scruffy is a well-behaved, darling young man who was found running in traffic south of Rosarito, dirty, scared and matted. He is now cleaned up, has plenty of food and attention and has shown his true qualities of charm, politeness and love. Please note, however, Scruffy does not jump over fences, but if you aren’t careful, he will scoot through the door and jump into the car before you even know it. This must be how he got away from his people, because we can’t imagine anyone abandoning this little love. He enjoys rides, walks, and runs alongside when you walk or other dogs romp. He is very attentive and, if you talk to him, will stare, open and curious almost as if he understands what you say. A quick learner and a happy fellow by nature, he wants to be someone’s favorite furry friend and will add joy to your household if you take him home. He is a love and is eager to share that love with you! We bring a few of our rescues every Sunday to the Chula Vista Petco Unleashed, 304 East H Street, just off the 805 freeway so if you want to meet Scruffy, please call or email so we will be sure he is with us.
