Sol's Story...
Oh Sole Mio! Why would a shelter want to kill you when the world is in dire need of smiley faced tail wags?

Poor Sol was skittish, scared and lost when he brought to the shelter. He was abandoned by his owner and left to fend for himself on the mean streets of our city. Some of the shelter volunteers have been working with this very handsome AmStaff / Shiba Inu Mix and he's coming out of his shell. He's fine and even friendly with other dogs he meets in the backyard. He is becoming friendlier and friendlier but is still scared and would do great if given a chance outside of that scary death hole.

He is a beautiful dog with potentials, and it would be a great loss.

We offer 2 free training sessions with one of our consulting trainers to the experienced person who would like to help this beautiful one-year-old dog. He's almost there!

Please contact us ASAP to foster Sol, and we will call you and email

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sol, a New York American Staffordshire Terrier/Shiba Inu puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Staffordshire Terrier/Shiba Inu for sale in New York, or seeking a American Staffordshire Terrier/Shiba Inu puppy from a breeder in New York.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in New York already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a New York breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Staffordshire Terrier/Shiba Inu breeders who help with American Staffordshire Terrier/Shiba Inu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in New York paves the way for another one to be saved.
