Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Kio is a seven year old male miniature American Eskimo Spitz. He is only 14 pounds and full of life, but could make a great couch potato given the chance come evening time! He likes squeaky toys, a ball to chase (he won't retrieve) and to play tug-of war!
We don't recommend children for him and despite the fact that he is small, he can be pretty busy monitoring all movement in the house. He was surrendered when his life-longer owner had to move into a residence that will not allow him to join her. He is apparently used to constant company and would prefer a home with a full time companion. He does excellent in the car, great on a leash, and is very dog social. He seems indifferent to the cats and ponders their use on earth.
Kio is heartworm negative, current on his vaccines, heartworm and flea and tick preventions and microchipped with a lifetime registration.

There is no obligation to adopt by completing an application, however, we do recommend submitting an application as soon as you find an animal you are interested in. We review applications in the order they are received.
Completed applications can be sent via email to adopt@jcapl.org , faxed to 919-300-5524 or delivered in person by visiting us at one of our adoption events on Saturdays at Petsmart in Garner (White Oak Shopping Center).
