Iris's Story...
Iris is a beautiful brindle rare in color chihuahua doxie mix she weighs about 7 lbs and is about 2 yrs old. Super sweet loves everyone she meets. She has a very sad story she was adopted out a few weeks ago at a mobile adoptions that they shelter have on the weekends. Like most shelter dogs sometimes they come down with kennel cough which is easily treatable with antibiotics and in a few short days it goes away. So instead of wanting to treat the kennel cough they asked their vet to put her to sleep. So one of our volunteers was contacted and the vet said these people want to put this healthy little dog to sleep because of kennel cough will you take this dog into your rescue and help save her life. We did and now she is all better and ready for her forever home. She is updated on all her shots, microchipped and spayed.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Iris, a Studio City Chihuahua/Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Dachshund for sale in Studio City, or seeking a Chihuahua/Dachshund dog from a breeder in Studio City.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Studio City already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Studio City breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Dachshund breeders who help with Chihuahua/Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Studio City paves the way for another one to be saved.
