LEIA's Story...
Hi my name is Leia, I am 12 month old GSD mix. HNH rescued me from a High Kill Shelter. I am currently getting basic training for commands/leash. I am a little nervous around new dogs so please introduce me slowly. I enjoy playing ball, playing with kids and I give great hugs and kisses. Leia would be best suited with an experienced handler who can continue with her training. She will make an excellent jogging or hiking partner. Leia is spayed, current on vaccines and micro-chipped. She is being fostered in Hawthorne, CA. Contact Lorna at Lorna@hopenheroes.com. Donation/Adoption fee and home inspection required.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

LEIA, a Torrance German Shepherd Dog/Greyhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog/Greyhound for sale in Torrance, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog/Greyhound dog from a breeder in Torrance.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Torrance already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Torrance breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog/Greyhound breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog/Greyhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Torrance paves the way for another one to be saved.
