CLARK's Story...
~ADOPTION PENDING~ You may meet and apply to adopt Clark at our ADOPTION EVENT on SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 4th from 12 Noon - 3:00 at PETCO in NEWPORT BEACH. adoptpetmatch@gmail.com

~ADOPTION PENDING~ Clark is a male Wheaten Terrier mix only 1 year of age. He has silky, shiny, wavy, silvery tan fur that appears to be low to non-shedding. He came in stray to the shelter with a bad "home" haircut which is why his fur is clipped so close and kind of unevenly. He has been to our professional groomer who tried to even out his fur, but the good news is that his beautiful coat will grow out in no time. Clark is a healthy, happy boy, friendly and affectionate. He is a medium sized dog and although he currently only weighs 17 pounds, he is quite underweight and should easily gain another 7-10 pounds. He is great with other dogs and seems to really like kids. Clark is kind of like a big goofy puppy and he loves to be included as part of the family. He is a good boy indoors and appears to be housebroken. Clark is a well rounded young dog. He will undoubtedly thrive with lots of love, hugs, kisses, and regular meals. He is quiet and fairly easygoing, although he loves a nice romp in the park and can easily keep up with an active family. Clark is great in the car, riding along sitting in his seat just like a person. He is good in public and has nice manners. You can count on him to greet people and other dogs appropriately. Clark is looking for a stable home that takes good care of him. He was sad at the shelter and hopes to never go back there ever again. He is such a great boy, and will flourish with games of fetch or maybe some fun tussling on the floor. Clark loves to be patted and his tongue will hang out of his mouth sideways when he's grinning. He is ready to go to his new forever home today!

Clark's adoption donation is $350 (*TAX DEDUCTABLE). He has been NEUTERED, MICROCHIPPED, VACCINATED, DEWORMED, DEFLEAED and PROFESSIONALLY GROOMED. Also included is his collar with ID, harness, leash, folder with all of his records, a great PETCO coupon book, and a fun goodie bag with toys, etc.

Clark is being fostered by Pet Match Rescue Foster Volunteer, Lara and is ready for his forever home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

CLARK, a Newport Beach Wheaten Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Wheaten Terrier for sale in Newport Beach, or seeking a Wheaten Terrier dog from a breeder in Newport Beach.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Newport Beach already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Newport Beach breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Wheaten Terrier breeders who help with Wheaten Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Newport Beach paves the way for another one to be saved.
