Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Darla the Doxie and her brother, Dave, are funny, cuter-than-bugs, little dachshund blends. They have the funniest droopy ears and the sweetest little puppies! (And they DO NOT need to be adopted together.)
Darla has beautiful markings – she has a little white blaze down her face and is one pretty baby girl! She is going to stay small – she was definitely the runt of the litter and I cannot imagine her even reaching 10 – 12 pounds full grown, but who knows for sure?!
Dave, her brother, looks like a miniature Bloodhound (!) or Rhodesian Ridgeback, but of course, he really isn’t either of those two breeds – he just resembles them. Dave will probably grow to be about 12 – 15 pounds.
Since they are mixes, they are healthy and happy little rascals with none of the prey instinct of pure doxies. Not to mention, they are much, much cuter!
Of course, whichever puppy you adopt will have all of his or her shots (a series of 3 “baby” shots), be spayed or neutered, and also have all of his or her other shots including rabies and bordatella, and whatever else the little rascal needs to be a happy, healthy little buddy. All of this is covered in the adoption donation.
These puppies are great with everything – other dogs, cats, and children. They also are NOT barky little dogs – in fact, they are mellow, well-socialized little cutie-pies.
