Johnny's Story...
ohnny is a 13lb cream colored pom who, at 2 years old, is waiting for a new start at life. Given up by a family who decided having anew baby would take time away from him and his “brother” Billy, Johnny soaks up attention like a sponge and is learning how to play with his foster brothers and sister. Johnny prefers to stick with and follow his brother around and does not interact with other dogs in the home a lot. He has an adorable quiver in his bottom lip when he gets excited and he also chatters his teeth and makes different grunts and moans when expressing himself. He can also be quite vocal when he gets excited, especially when he thinks he is going for rides int he car. He also is madly in love with the kiddie pool in our yard and loves nothing more than to lay down in it, drink water, then hop out and leave wet puppy prints through both the house, and your heart.

Johnny does sleep in a crate with his brother at night and when let out, would rather sleep on the floor than on the bed when other dogs are on it. He and his brother will bark/howl for about 30 seconds to voice their displeasure when they are put in their crate but, they settle down quickly and do not make a peep until it’s time to get up or they need to go to the bathroom. Johnny does mark in the home as he and his brother both came in unaltered but, a firm no will stop him in the act or, he also wears a belly band if you would prefer. With some training and now that they have both been neutered, this is easily corrected.

About Our Rescue Group...
Rescued from a dog farm in South Korea in late 2004, Picasso, a red miniature pinscher, truly defines what it means to be a survivor. Thanks to a wonderful rescuer that brought him from South Korea to the U.S., Picasso found his way to his forever home where he made such an impact on his family, that this organization was created to honor him and help min pins in need.

The mission of Picasso’s Place Min Pin Rescue, Inc. is to facilitate the rescue and adoption of stray, abandoned, neglected, abused, and surrendered miniature pinschers and place them into permanent and loving homes.

In the interim, we provide appropriate foster and veterinary care, proper nourishment and of course, plenty of love and attention.

Picasso’s Min Pin Rescue, Inc. services the mid-Atlantic and other states when needed. The availability of financial and volunteer resources will determine how many miniature pinschers and how extended a geographical area can be serviced at any given time. Picasso’s Place Min Pin Rescue’s goal is to provide quality care and placement assistance to as many homeless miniature pinschers possible.

Qualified adoptive families are selected through an application process that is focused on the welfare of the miniature pinscher and the need to place each dog in an environment appropriate for that dog's background, temperament and needs. The needs of the homeless miniature pinschers are the rescue’s primary concern. Obtaining safe, loving, lifelong homes for miniature pinschers is our primary goal.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Johnny, a Myersville Pomeranian dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pomeranian for sale in Myersville, or seeking a Pomeranian dog from a breeder in Myersville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Myersville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Myersville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pomeranian breeders who help with Pomeranian rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Myersville paves the way for another one to be saved.
