Xander's Story...
Xander was known as a sewer kitten as he was discovered in sewer lines with his siblings, Xavier and XuXa, and the sewer department flushed him out with water. He was lovingly cared for by SNUGGLE (Special Needs Under Gentle Guided Love Everyday) in St. Peters until he recovered from his horrendous beginnings. Xander is ‘in charge’ of everything, but loves human attention and loves to snuggle with his siblings. He will be ready after receiving necessary vaccines, microchip and spay/neuter (sometime in December). Please note that Tenth Life does not adopt out kittens to homes where they will be the only cat. They require another kitten, or a resident cat in your home, to ensure proper socialization. approx DOB Sept 2012

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Xander, a St. Louis Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in St. Louis, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in St. Louis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in St. Louis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a St. Louis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in St. Louis paves the way for another one to be saved.
