Finn's Story...
Finn is a 6 month old high drive border collie. He's happy, playful and cute! He loves to play with his toys and other dogs and loves to be with his people.

Finn is looking for an active or working home where he can learn and be busy - he will be a great agility dog, disc dog, therapy dog or herding dog. He needs a committed and dedicated border collie home who is willing to train him and keep him busy!

Finn is currently enrolled in an obedience level 1 class which runs through Dec. 1st.

On 11/4/2012 - Finn was tested on sheep. He showed great ability to hold and move the sheep. He would be an excellent stock dog (either on a farm or with someone who is interested in competiting in herding trials).

On 11/17/2012 - Finn played disc for the first time. He was quick to pick up everything we worked on.. around, rollers, tugging, multiple discs, leg weaves and a few spins. He really drives for the disc. By the end he was bringing the disc back every time and even dropping it on cue.

Finn weighs 30 lbs and will be around 45 lbs when full grown.

Finn is up to date on vaccines, microchipped and neutered. His adoption fee is $295. Please email LittleHouseRescue@gmail.com for an application or call 651-271-6335.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Finn, a Delano Border Collie puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie for sale in Delano, or seeking a Border Collie puppy from a breeder in Delano.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Delano already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Delano breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie breeders who help with Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Delano paves the way for another one to be saved.
