Speckles's Story...
Hi there my name is Speckles. I am about 4 months old as of October 29th and am just beautiful. They think I am a Lab/Border Collie Mix, but I think my breed is cute and sweet. I'm really, really good with the children in my foster home, the kitties and the dogs. I don't mind sharing my bones or toys, and I love to play. I am told that pictures really don't show how cute I am and you really need to meet me in person. I can also be a total snuggle bug as I love my people just as much as I love my furry friends.

I came from a high kill shelter in Ohio which if it not for Angels On Wheels, I likely wouldn't be around today. See I'm black and was placed in a high kill shelter where many of friends didn't make it out alive. So glad I was saved because I have been told I will make a fabulous pet!!! Speckles is being fostered in a home in Oswego around Children, kitties, and other dogs all of whom she is fabulous with. Speckles is a puppy and is teething so she can be a little mouthy sometimes. She does like her crate, and she likes going into it to feel safe.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Speckles, a Naperville Border Collie/Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Labrador Retriever for sale in Naperville, or seeking a Border Collie/Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Naperville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Naperville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Naperville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Border Collie/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Naperville paves the way for another one to be saved.
