"Who is one of the happiest fellows that you will ever meet?...it's me of course, and my name is ROOKIE. I'm just eight months old, so you know I am still a puppy-guy who loves to play and get his exercise, but I also know how to calm down and relax. I've got great markings and a beautiful black and white coat, and I've got one incredible smile! I'm very intelligent, so you know that I am ready, willing, and very eager to learn new things quickly. I enjoy going for walks, and I walk very well while on the leash. I really love to play fetch, so I'd love to have a nice yard in my new home so we could have fun together. I think I'd make a really wonderful family pet! I get along nicely with other dogs, but I'd do best with a larger dog in my new home, since I can get rambunctious when I play with another dog. Also, it would be great if I could have one of those snuggly and comfy dog beds of my very own in the house, so that I could stay close to my person or my family. When you come to our shelter, just ask our very kind Shelter Staff to introduce you to the incredibly sweet and very fun dog whose name is ROOKIE. They've got great exercise yards at the shelter for us; the perfect place for us to get acquainted with each other. You can bet that I'll be watching and waiting, and also listening for the sound of your footsteps near my kennel, and then I will know for sure that you have come to meet me.
