George's Story...
George is a sweet, laid back guy. He loves to just be with people, cuddle, and nap. He gives great kisses and will do anything for a treat. He is kennel trained, (almost) house trained and is working on his basic commands. He is 16 weeks old, about 30 pounds, and fully vetted (fixed, microchipped, and shots). He has been socialized with small dogs, big dogs, cats, and kids and loves everyone and everything. He is medium energy and would be good in a house with other pets or a single dog house that would give him lots of attention.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

George, a Houston American Pit Bull Terrier puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Houston, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier puppy from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
