I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, a special needs pet, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Odie's Story...
Hi there world! My name's Odie! I came from an shelter in Odessa, Texas where I was constantly spinning in my run, so when I came to Rockyspot they started calling me Dizzy! Luckily they took me to the vet where they discovered that all my spinning was because of the pain from a burst eardrum. I'm on medication now and doing SO much better - though I still sometimes spin when I get excited or first go to a new place! They also found that I am deaf, so I will need to go to a home that is OK with helping me figure things out since I can't hear.

I am a great house dog, and very calm indoors. Even though I like to play and shake my toys really hard, I know house rules and even some tricks! And I ESPECIALLY know how to cuddle.

I do love kids - and in fact I was the star attraction at a fireman-themed kids' birthday party in October 2012! The kids hung all over me and I was great! So I know for sure I can go to a home with kids 5 years old or older. And I'm OK with cats unless they try to play with or attack me, and then I get excited and try to play back - so you cat people might keep me in mind! And I get along great with all the other dogs here. I am a wonderful boy - so come check me out in person!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Odie, a Newcastle Dalmatian dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dalmatian for sale in Newcastle, or seeking a Dalmatian dog from a breeder in Newcastle.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Newcastle already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Newcastle breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dalmatian breeders who help with Dalmatian rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Newcastle paves the way for another one to be saved.
