Skip's Story...
This is Skip, a boxer mix that came to us last week from Walton County Animal Control. He's about 4 months old, weighs in at 20 pounds and is a very friendly playful guy. In one of the pictures he's shown with his new best bud, a 6 lb chihuahua. You'll notice in the pictures that his ears and his feet look a little rough. He is being treated for Demodex but it is not spreading and he seems to be starting to heal. In puppies demodex is usually a result of an immature immune system and is very treatable. He has been neutered, is current on shots and almost housetrained, so he is ready to start looking for his furever home. Could you be the lucky family to adopt him?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Skip, a Greensboro Boxer puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer for sale in Greensboro, or seeking a Boxer puppy from a breeder in Greensboro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Greensboro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Greensboro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer breeders who help with Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Greensboro paves the way for another one to be saved.
