Jude's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, and in need of an experienced adopter.

Jude's Story...
Jude arrived on 27 October 2012. He came to New Moon Rabbit Rescue after being found as a stray in Smiths Falls ON.

Jude is a very handsome young man. He is energetic and likes to play. He enjoys investigating and having lots of time to run and play. He will climb on your furniture and maybe give it a nibble if his chew toys are not near but he is not a destructive bunny. It is best for Jude to have lots of toys, chew boxes and chew toys to help keep him occupied.

Jude is a good eater and likes his pellets and hay most of the time. He also really enjoys his salads and fruit treats and is CRAZY for his Martin Mills Banana Muffin treats that he gets each night! Oh yes, he does love being pet and a cuddle but only when he says so!!

Jude is recommended to an experienced rabbit home as he does tend to have an assertive, “my way or the highway” attitude. He can be a bit cage territorial when he has to be caged and can be a bit nippy when things aren’t going as he wishes them too.

Having said that, Jude is a great bunny and can be very loving! He will have a much harder time finding his forever home than many bunnies and this does worry him a lot. Please consider adopting Jude so he can truly understand for the first time in his life what it means to be loved.

Jude is very much looking forward to having a life with someone who loves him and will care for him properly.

About New Moon Rabbit Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

New Moon Rabbit Rescue was formed in September 2006 with one main goal: to provide unwanted, abandoned, neglected, or abused domestic rabbits with a second chance at human love and appropriate care.

We are a "no-kill" organization dedicated to providing care for rescued domestic rabbits. All rabbits remain in foster homes until such time as they are adopted to loving, caring homes.

Come Meet Our Pets...

All of New Moon's rabbits are in foster care at this time. If you are interested in meeting a particular rabbit you must fill out an adoption application. Upon approval a meeting with the foster home will be arranged.

Our Adoption Process...

All rabbits that come into the care of New Moon Rabbit Rescue are spayed or neutered, health checked and if necessary, fully rehabilitated before adoption. Potential adopters are thoroughly screened to ensure that the rabbits will be entering safe and happy environments.

Every potential adopter must fill out an application, either online or by printing and filling out the PDF document. It can be faxed to 613-482-2056. You will receive a phone call within a few days to discuss your application. Please review our adoption contract, which you will required to sign upon picking up your new rabbit. Please note that all adopters must be approved before visiting the rabbits.

Our adoption policies state that we do not adopt to children, however we do adopt to families with children in which children may aid parents in caring for the rabbit. New Moon rabbits are adopted out as house pets only and are not to be housed outdoors. There will be NO exceptions to either of these strict policies.

Our adoption fees are $85 for a single rabbit and $130 for an already bonded pair. All adoption fees are non-refundable, with 100% of the proceeds benefitting the rabbits of New Moon. We are wiling to adopt outside of our area, but you must be willing to pick up your new friend.
