Hi, I'm Ivan! I am a one year old am staff mix and I weigh 40lbs. I am a big sweetheart full of love and have a cute puppy face. I'm full grown and actually a bit short for my breed, but I have big paws and have a really nice physique.
I'm friendly and happy go lucky and can't wait to get started on my new life which I hope includes people who will give me love and affection. And, a family who will make sure that I get regular exercise like walks or even some running. I do enjoy a good workout and it would make me happy to join your activities. I'm easy to walk and learning some basic commands while I'm here.
Don't you think I'm handsome? The volunteers tell me that I am "sooo good looking." I hope that my good looks and charming personality will help me find my new forever home really soon.
Note: Ivan is food motivated, making him easier to train. He also plays well when matched with the right dogs. Ivan is having a difficult time living in kennels and showing signs of stress (losing weight, getting dehydrated etc). This is typical of younger, intelligent dogs that become frustrated living in social isolation, despite volunteer efforts. He needs to leave the kennels ASAP!
He will make a great family pet, and if he makes it out of the shelter I'm sure he'll be catching up on a lot of sleep that he has been missing out on.
