COCOA. What a cutie. Cocoa is a red smooth miniature dachshund, spayed female. And such a sweetheart. She loves her squeaky moose, and she will "fetch" it, but likely struggle to give it back so she can chase it again. She likes to run, play, get treats and cuddle -- a really really cuddly dog. She loves to crawl under the blanket on the couch and help you read or watch TV. She is a great companion and her current family just isn't around to be able to spend time with her or take her on the walks she enjoys so much. But how about you? A little warm Cocoa will make your life brighter.
- Based on 30 years of experience with rescue doxies, we have pretty strict criteria. Do you work from home/stay at home/work part time? Have a securely fenced yard? We do not place same sex in a home and children need to be 10 or older (some exceptions IF the dog is a puppy or the child has been raised with a doxie). We prefer no smokers and a home with no other small animals (ferrets, hamsters, etc) Cats are on a case by case basis depending on the dog. Remember these are rescues, many were surrendered because of these issues. All our dogs are fully vetted, including all shots, wormer & flea protection, nails trimmed, the works. They'll come with a basket of goodies, food, toys and a custom made harness. The adoption fee is $350, no exceptions as this covers the cost to rescue them, vet them and take care of them while in our rescue. It also helps towards the care of other doxies that come with huge vet or dental bills or need extensive behavioral training.
