Opal's Story...
Hi, my name is Opal. I was rescued from a high kill shelter in KY by MRT.

I am the happiest girl ever! This rescue life is amazing. I love getting to play with other dogs and being around so many people that love me. I am a really good girl. I'm playful and fun! I'm silly and I make everyone laugh by the cute things I do. I've been told that my personality is super awesome!! I make everyone smile that meets me.

I love people, kids and other dogs. I love toys and peanut butter!

I would love to find my forever home. It sure would be nice to have a family of my own to play and snuggle with. I am very joyful and we will have so much fun together.

If you would like to know more about me and MRT's adoption process, please contact Miss Bridget at 502-724-2773 or email her at misfitrescueteam@gmail.com

Love,
Opal

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Opal, a Louisville American Bulldog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Bulldog for sale in Louisville, or seeking a American Bulldog dog from a breeder in Louisville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Louisville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Louisville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Bulldog breeders who help with American Bulldog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Louisville paves the way for another one to be saved.
