Zeus's Story...
"Hi there all of you wonderful people...my name is ZEUS and I'm a 4 1/2-year old very handsome red and tan Miniature Pinscher ("Min Pin") fellow who is in need of a new forever home. My family is in the military and they were not able to take me with them when they moved, so I am here at the El Cajon Animal Shelter. I absolutely love going for walks, and I walk nicely while on the leash. I love people and other dogs, too. I've got a zest for life, and I think you'll have a lot of fun with me. I've got an incredibly beautiful and shiny coat, and I do enjoy getting brushed, because I know that keeps my coat always looking its very best. I'm already house trained, and I'd make a great pet in a home with older children. When it is very quiet here at night at the shelter, that is a very special time for us, because that is the time when all of the animals share their hopes and dreams of finding a new forever home. I'd only need a smallish yard, where I could get my exercise, play and enjoy myself, and then I'd love to have one of those real comfy and snuggly dog beds of my very own in the house, so that I could always be close to my person or my family. A trip to our shelter wouldn't be complete until we have had an opportunity to meet and get to know each other, so just ask our very kind Shelter Staff to introduce you to the very handsome and wonderful Min Pin fellow whose name is ZEUS. We just might discover that we are meant to be together forever and that would be the best thing ever. I'll be watching and waiting for you and also listening for the sound of your footsteps near my kennel gate, and then I will know that you have come to meet me. Let's get acquainted and have some fun. You'll see that Min Pins are great little dogs. Please help me make my dreams come true for a new forever home with you. See you real soon, I hope. Love, Zeus" Kennel #28

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Zeus, a El Cajon Miniature Pinscher dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Miniature Pinscher for sale in El Cajon, or seeking a Miniature Pinscher dog from a breeder in El Cajon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in El Cajon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a El Cajon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Miniature Pinscher breeders who help with Miniature Pinscher rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in El Cajon paves the way for another one to be saved.
