Tuffy's Story...
Let me introduce beautiful little Tuffy. He is a long-haired dark gray with white kitten about 10-12 weeks old. We are working on a big trap/neuter/return (TNR) project near Kettle Falls. Irresponsible people have been dumping kitties in this spot for years. The owners of the property have been trying to feed all the kitties out of the goodness of their hearts, but the problem had become overwhelming. We are trapping, spaying or neutering, vaccinating and returning all the adults. Any kittens young enough to still work with, we are taming and offering for adoption. Little Tuffy is one of these. He was shy for about one day. Then we petted him and held him and he became our purring buddy! He is going to make some lucky person a wonderful friend for life. He is neutered and ready for adoption. More kitties will be offered from this TNR project in the near future.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tuffy, a Colville Domestic Longhair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in Colville, or seeking a Domestic Longhair kitten from a breeder in Colville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Colville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Colville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Colville paves the way for another one to be saved.
