Mary's Story...
Hello there. I’m Mary, a kindhearted 3-4 year-old pit bull terrier. I’m a dear, gentle lass who can only hope for a better life. My volunteer friends think I’m a breathtaking dog who is also quite fragile. I think the name they gave me suits me perfectly, don’t you? Certain things in the environment tend to frighten me. Who knows how traumatic my life was before I ended up here. I’m super-duperifically affectionate. Kissing and cuddling are some of my favorite pastimes. I guess I can describe myself as a mellow lass who also takes pleasure in prancing around with toys. I can “sit” and “lay down” like a good little girl and am very eager to please. I play well with other canines so I would just love to have a furry sibling. Aren’t I just too precious for words? Please, love me tender, love me true! I’ll be yours through all the years, ‘til the end of time.

Act quickly to adopt Mary. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mary, a Huntington Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Huntington, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Huntington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Huntington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Huntington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Huntington paves the way for another one to be saved.
