Right after Thanksgiving, Kiko was asked to help with three puppies that were left abandoned in front of a church outside Montreal. At the time, the vet estimated that they had been born around the beginning of September 2012, making them only 5 weeks old. Lilly, one of two females, is the most adventurous of the trio. Of course, we do not know what the parents were but they will likely grow to be large dogs. There was a fourth puppy that was kept by the person who found them that was golden in colour, so possibly some Golden Retriever and Bernese Mountain Dog in the genes as well. All three pups are healthy, well-socialized with both people and other dogs, and travel well in the car. Puppies are a lot of work and cannot be left home alone for extended periods of time. Good basic training needs to start when they are young to ensure that they develop into good canine citizens. If you have been considering adopting a puppy and have the know-how and patience, please fill out an adoption application. Lilly and her siblings have received their first vaccinations, had a stool analysis and deworming, and have already been sterilized.
