Chucky's Story...
Chucky's adoption fee is $350.

Hi - my name is Chucky and I am a 3 year old, brown and white Shih Tzu. I weigh about 13 pounds and am up to date on shots and micro chipped. I am a very happy little fellow who loves his playtime and going for walks. I’m very good at walking on my leash but always manage to find lots of interesting smells along the way. There are lots of dogs where my foster Mom lives and I have been able to make friends with some of them. I also like car rides and behave well in the car.

My favorite toys are a red tennis ball and, don`t tell the cat, but one of her toy mice. My foster Mom and I play fetch a lot and it is one of my favorite games. I’m getting there, but am still learning about house training, so would be happiest in a house with a yard and a family that can continue to work with me. I am a very good eater and just gobble my food down – yum! I love to sleep with my foster Mom and we cuddle close and she says I am a good boy for sleeping all night long.

I love older kids and have so much fun playing with my foster Mom`s grandchildren when they visit. I would love to go to a home with no cats but another playful dog would be okay, and some older kids to play with would be grand. If you are looking for a very loving, friendly and happy addition to your family please pick me!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chucky, a Toronto Shih Tzu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu for sale in Toronto, or seeking a Shih Tzu dog from a breeder in Toronto.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Toronto already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Toronto breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu breeders who help with Shih Tzu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Toronto paves the way for another one to be saved.
