Autumn's Story...
Autumn -- so named for her striking colors, has had an interesting life so far. An owner surrender, Autumn is a 6 year old gentle soul whose foster family had a little too much going on for her -- 4 kids and 4 dogs! She was so grateful for a chance at a real home but couldn't hack all the action -- it was getting in the way of her cat naps! So she came back to the clinic requesting a quiet home with a few warm laps and an occasional patch of sunshine. She is front de-clawed, loves to purr, and would likely be happy as an only kitty or paired with another quiet, laid back cat. Life is a little confusing for her right now but she knows that very soon her new family will adopt her and this time it will be her fur-ever home. Elegant Autumn, hopeful and patiently waiting for you.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Autumn, a Walnut Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Walnut, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Walnut.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Walnut already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Walnut breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Walnut paves the way for another one to be saved.
