Elvis's Story...
Elvis is a hunky, sweet, happy, confident and loving, 19-month-old, 75-pound, male American Bulldog looking for a loving guardian. Elvis was found wandering the streets of Chicago and was rescued by a caring dog-lover. He thinks he’s a lap dog and will snuggle, give kisses and roll over and close his eyes as he enjoys a belly rub. He also loves car rides. While Elvis doesn’t have any formal training yet, he can easily be lured into a sit and takes treats extremely gently from your fingers. He loves all people, and does well with other dogs … he’s sharing a foster home with two male mixed breeds. Elvis has been diagnosed with primary epilepsy so he takes daily meds that have eliminated seizures. He is otherwise healthy, de-wormed, neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, micro-chipped, heartworm-tested and on monthly heartworm preventative. His adoption fee of $200 benefits Rain Dog Rescue. To meet and possibly adopt Elvis, please contact Jennifer at Raindogrescue@gmail.com or 773-770-5115.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Elvis, a Chicago American Bulldog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Bulldog for sale in Chicago, or seeking a American Bulldog dog from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Bulldog breeders who help with American Bulldog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
