Daisy's Story...
Daisy is about 1 year old. She was rescued with another Chihuahua named Bitsy that we suspect may be her mother. Both dogs were pregnant and left to fend for themselves on an abandoned property.

She is the sweetest little girl; she seems to have been abused so she can be fearful at times but is more submissive than aggressive.

She wakes up everyday so happy and playful. She gets along very well with all of the other foster dogs (of various sizes up to 80 lbs) and was very eager to fit in with the pack.

She is interested in the cats but not aggressive towards them. If a cat runs she will chase it, but if it walks up she just wants to clean its ears and give it love!

She gets along best with our Staffie-bull they play together like a couple of puppies. He is close to the same age as Daisy.

Daisy needs lots of love and a little continued training on some things. She is a little "mouthy" when she plays, but all in all she just really wants to love, be loved and feel safe and secure.

Daisy needs a home full of love, patience and understanding. She has SO much love to give but she needs it back as well! She is healthy and beautiful.

She has made great progress while in foster care and we are still working on the potty training.

You can meet this sweet girl at the Natomas Marketplace Petsmart on the weekends from 11am - 5pm.

Rescue Group Info...

About Our Rescue Group...
We are no-kill, all volunteer non-profit feline rescue organization. We work with members of the public.

We spay/neuter, vaccinate, test, and provide other needed medical care for our rescues. We then work to find new homes for abandoned, and homeless cats & kittens. Our goal is to eliminate the needless killing of pets in our shelters.

Since our incorporation in 1998, we have spayed/ neutered and rehomed over 2000 cats & kittens. Our credo is to stop the suffering of homeless and abused cats and kittens.

Come Meet Our Pets...
We do adoptions at the Petsmart in the Natomas Marketplace (just off I-80 on Truxel Road) in Sacramento. We are there Saturdays from 11am - 7pm and Sundays from 11am - 5pm every weekend.

We also have a number of adult cats who stay in the adoption center at Petsmart throughout the week. If anyone is interested in one of these cats, they can call 916-224-1117 and we'll make an appointment to meet them.

Our Adoption Process...
Our cats and kittens are all tested for FeLV (all) and FIV (8 months and older), spayed/neutered, and receive vaccinations appropriate for their age before adoption. Also, cats and kittens are de-fleaed and de-wormed Cats have a 10 day health warrenty and we have a life time return policy in case the adoption doesn't work out or circumstances change.

We try to match the cat to the home. Our Adoptors sign a waver with Petsmart and complete a contract with C.A.T.S. We ask an adoption fee of $90 on most of our cats. Some special needs cats are adopted for less.

We Serve the Following Cities, Towns, and/or Counties...

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Daisy, a Sacramento Chihuahua/Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Dachshund for sale in Sacramento, or seeking a Chihuahua/Dachshund dog from a breeder in Sacramento.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sacramento already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sacramento breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Dachshund breeders who help with Chihuahua/Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sacramento paves the way for another one to be saved.
