Riley's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Riley's Story...
What a complete sweetheart! To know him is to love him. He knows no stranger and gets along great with other dogs and everyone he meets. Riley has acquired a great deal of courage since coming to Helping Strays.
In Riley’s words: You won’t believe how great a home is compared to running in a field. There are two meals a day, treats, a bed to sleep in, and toys to play with! I love being petted and hugged. Belly rubs feel really good. My “mom” says I am very gentle even though I am still a puppy. I am learning house rules very well and am already crate trained and housebroken. I also walk wonderfully on a leash. I attended a Breakfast with Santa event today at a school gymnasium and so many people...it was great fun!
Riley's adoption fee is $175; he’s up to date with routine shots, micro-chipped
and altered.
Riley is in a foster homes; please call the shelter to make arrangements to meet him.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Riley, a Columbia Collie/Golden Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Collie/Golden Retriever for sale in Columbia, or seeking a Collie/Golden Retriever dog from a breeder in Columbia.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Columbia already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Columbia breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Collie/Golden Retriever breeders who help with Collie/Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Columbia paves the way for another one to be saved.
