I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.
Ace was discovered limping down I-75 in Atlanta after obviously being hit by a vehicle. He was injured and in great pain. After animal control scanned his microchip and talked to his owners, who said said they didn't want him any more, he was quarantined. During that time, his wounds healed to the point where the orthopedic surgeon at GVS said he was totally healed and didn't need surgery to repair the damage. Since then, Ace has been fostered and has progressed from a scared puppy into a wonderful companion. His former owners said he is 2 years old, though he acts and looks a little younger. He loves people and toys. He is very affectionate and quick to learn commands such as sit, come, stay, heel, down, etc.
He now weighs 61 pounds but he should weigh about 70-75 pounds when fully healthy. He is houstrained, cratetrained, loves toys and bonds extremely easily to his caregivers. He has strong prey drive and might not be great with cats or small animals such as squirrels, though he hasn't attacked any cats when in the cat room at the shelter. He howls at sirens, a beautiful high-pitched sound.
Ace is a beauty. He has started to interact with our other foster dogs beautifully and is willing to walk on the street as long as another dog is leading. That's progress! Ace might be a wonderful, young WGSD for the right family.
