JEFFERSON's Story...
Hi my name is Jefferson! I am 6 weeks old male Black Lab mix. HNH rescued me and my brother from hiding underneath a dumpster at a High School in San Bernardino. We were so happy they came and got us we were getting eaten alive from fleas. We have been treated, received shots (yuk) and dewormed. I am not ready for my forever home yet but will be after Thanksgiving. I have been taught to sleep through the night in my crate. Jefferson will be a large dog and will be best suited with an Active Family with a yard. We do recomment if you adopt a young pup to enroll them in puppy training classes so that you will have the adult dog you want. Jefferson will be neutered and microchipped prior to being adopted and is currently being fostered in Simi Valley, CA. Contact Lorna at for an application. Adoption/Donation fee and home inspection required.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

JEFFERSON, a Torrance Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Torrance, or seeking a Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Torrance.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Torrance already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Torrance breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Torrance paves the way for another one to be saved.
