Tom's Story...
Tom-Lab/Pointer male puppy

Tom was a pretty scared little guy in a high kill shelter when the Rescue saw him recently.
He's now in a foster home and doing so much better. Ready to find his forever home,
one that will love him as much as he'll love them. Tom is about 6 mo. old and we think be a
medium sized dog when full grown, maybe 40#. He's wonderful with other dogs and not
interested in the cats. He will make a great walking or running partner, family dog and
all around good canine companion. His adoption fee is $275 to help cover the medical
costs of getting ready for adoption.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tom, a Germantown Pointer/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pointer/Labrador Retriever for sale in Germantown, or seeking a Pointer/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Germantown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Germantown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Germantown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pointer/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Pointer/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Germantown paves the way for another one to be saved.
