MEET LULU. Adorable two year old spayed female black and tan dachshund. This little girl's favorite family member moved away and now she is left alone for 11 hours or more a day due to work schedule. This just doesn't work for a playful pup, and nobody should have to hold it that long. Just can't be done! Lulu knows basic commands, loves to go for walks and rides quietly in the car. She just needs somebody to spend more time with her and appreciate her sweet disposition. This little one will win your heart!
Based on 30 years of experience with rescue doxies, we have pretty strict criteria. Do you work from home/stay at home/work part time? Have a securely fenced yard? We do not place same sex in a home and children need to be 10 or older (some exceptions IF the dog is a puppy or the child has been raised with a doxie). We prefer no smokers and a home with no other small animals (ferrets, hamsters, etc) Cats are on a case by case basis depending on the dog. Remember these are rescues, many were surrendered because of these issues. All our dogs are fully vetted, including all shots, wormer & flea protection, nails trimmed, the works. They'll come with a basket of goodies, food, toys and a custom made harness. The adoption fee is $350, no exceptions as this covers the cost to rescue them, vet them and take care of them while in our rescue. It also helps towards the care of other doxies that come with huge vet or dental bills or need extensive behavioral training.
