Tippy's Story...
Tippy is an adorable, playful, fun, snuggly and well-socialized nine-week-old male kitten looking for a feline-loving guardian. Her Momma, Dottie, was rescued off the streets of Chicago and landed at Chicago Animal Care and Control with her babies Tippy, Floyd and Bird. She was lucky to get out of a cage with her family and into a loving foster home in which to raise them. They are now healthy, neutered/spayed, de-wormed, micro-chipped, up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccines, and virus-tested. To meet and possibly adopt them, please contact Aime at afagan522@hotmail.com or 312-287-5981. Their adoption fee of $75 each benefits rescued pets.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tippy, a Chicago Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
