My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This is a 8 month old blue Quaker that came from the rescue in North Carolina. We are calling her Chewy (after Quaker Chewy Granola bars). She is a very sweet little bird ,although she is still timid. She is learning to step up. In the mean time she has no problem at all with being picked up and cuddled. She loves to kiss and preen you. She does like to be on top of her cage and she is very curious! She is not afraid of the other birds in the home or the dogs and cats. We are gradually changing her to a pellet diet and she is sampling fresh vegetables and some fruit. So far her favorite thing to eat is dehydrated banana chips. She is not a screamer at all. She doesn't seem to have an interest in talking yet, but we are working with her and hopefully the other birds in the home will help her along. She will make a great companion for somebody laid back who will enjoy her sweet, calm nature!
