Hi, my name is Gertie and I'm a cute little 11 week old tortie girl. I'm a little bit timid at first meeting and was being a little shy when the volunteer was trying to take my picture. I was found in a dumpster along with my two siblings, Grover & Gabby. A nice volunteer fostered us until we were old enough to go up for adoption. I'm a sweet & loving little girl and I'm a little more independent than my siblings. Being a kitten I love to play and I liked to be around my foster mom and sleep with her at night. Now I'm looking for my Forever Home and would love for you to take me home!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gertie, a Foothill Ranch Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Foothill Ranch, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Foothill Ranch.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Foothill Ranch already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Foothill Ranch breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Foothill Ranch paves the way for another one to be saved.
