Punkin's Story...
Meet Punkin. Punkin and his sibling were pulled from a very high kill shelter in SE KY. Punkin is a beautiful, spunky little puppy who loves everyone! He is approximately 8 weeks and has had his first set of vaccinations and dewormer. He will not be available for adoption for at least another week when he gets his second set of vaccinations. He weighs about 2lbs and would make an ideal family pet for a family with children over 4 years old.

FYI Punkin will be adopted out with a mandatory spay.neuter contract stating that he will be neutered at 6 months of age (no exceptions) and that we will be provided with proof stating that this was done.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Punkin, a Hazard Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Brussels Griffon puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Brussels Griffon for sale in Hazard, or seeking a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Brussels Griffon puppy from a breeder in Hazard.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hazard already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hazard breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Brussels Griffon breeders who help with Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Brussels Griffon rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hazard paves the way for another one to be saved.
