Benji's Story...
Benji was found wandering the streets, alone and afraid. One of our volunteers took him in and cleaned him up, fed him and made him comfortable. Now Benji is looking for his forever home. He is about 2-3 years old, weighs 12 lbs, is housebroken and gets along with everyone. He is very sweet, submissive and a happy dog that loves to play and go on walks. Benji still needs some leash training. He likes to sleep in his crate. He loves to chew on his toys (and the occassional shoe) Can you give this dog a new "leash" on life? Please visit our website for an online adoption application at www.dogswithoutborders.org and to learn more about our adoption fairs.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Benji, a Encino Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Dachshund for sale in Encino, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Dachshund dog from a breeder in Encino.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Encino already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Encino breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Dachshund breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Encino paves the way for another one to be saved.
