Here is what his foster family had to say:
Beans is a very healthy little guy. He seems to have good manners in the home however he does like to watch you when you eat hoping that you might drop something. He just learned sit, and we're working on lay down. He comes when you call him. He's not very well versed in the commands but don't let that fool you, he seems to just know what you want him to do. He's VERY well behaved.
Beans is house trained. He let's you know when he needs out, by making a bit of a groaning noise or goes to the door and gets excited. He is also crate trained - he's very comfortable in it and goes to sleep in it when he needs quiet time. I have stepped out briefly to go to the store and used it and he seemed fine about it. He was fine on a leash, likes to try to take the lead and sometimes is hesitant to go down a darker hallway when on the lead, but he's otherwise good.
Beans has not been socialized with very young children and is afraid of them. With children 6 and over he is fine. He is fine with other dogs and he mostly ignores my cats, but occasionally chases them to remind them he's there lol.
Beans loves people and aims to please! He mostly just wants to cuddle and show you he appreciates you. He is silly at times when he's not sleeping or cuddling. He crawls on the floor on his belly and sometimes walks on his hind legs! Oh and he talks on occasion, he grunts or moans at you when he wants your attention. He's an independent little guy who likes his quiet time and will tuck himself away in his crate when he wants to be alone. Beans would most likely suit a family who has older children although wasn't aggressive with toddlers he wasn't as in love with them as the older children who came to visit. Beans will be a fabulous addition to any family.
If you think Beans would be a good choice for your family, please submit an application for consideration.
