Here is what his foster family had to say:
This little guy has fit in with our family so well. He would be happy in any home. He is an unuual mix - his is chest is almost bald except for the softest fuzz and also has spotting on his skin, a wrinkly forehead, and big ears. He gets along well with the other dogs in the home but could easily be an only dog. He does sometimes obsess about the cat but I think he just wants to get close enough for a good sniff (she won’t let him).
He could use a few more lessons in obedience and is easy to train due to his being food moticated, He has learned to sit, and to wait outside the kitchen to be fed. He is fully house trained and crate trained. He will bark if left in the crate when you are home as he wants to be with you however he does sleep quietly through the night in his crate and is crated when we are out of the house without issue. He walks well on a leash.
Peanut loves to be with people, snugglin, walkin, playin with the kids. He also loves to be carried around but can amuse himself and loves chewing on his bone. He is very quiet in the home and is a loyal and devoted pet.
This little guy would fit in anywhere. He is little but a sturdy guy and would be good for gentle kids. It didn’t take him long to learn he always could find a warm spot under my 6 year old daughters covers in bed. He would do fine with another dog but also as an only dog. He enjoys a nice walk but is low energy so wouldn’t require a great amount of exercise. He has very good manners and takes cues from his people. He only knows sit but could learn so much more with some more training.
If you think Peanut would be a good choice for your family, please submit an application for consideration.
