Starlett's Story...
My many, many puppies have found homes over the years but I have never had a real home of my own. The humans called me a breeder dog and I never got much attention. I really love people and would follow you everywhere. My long beautiful fur had to be all shaved down since I was such a matted mess. I am sure it will all grow back in so you can brush me. I am now allowed to sleep in bed with my foster Mom and I just love it. I am only 2 ½ years old so I have a lot of time to be your best friend. If you would like to be my forever home please send in an application from the web site of the rescue where I am. www.RescueAChi.com and ask for Starlett.

Rescue Group Info...

About Our Rescue Group...
We are a rescue consisting of an all volunteer organization where all of our dogs are in private homes everyday. We do not have a shelter and our dogs are not kept in cages. Our dogs are from county animals shelters or from previous owners that are no longer able to care for their dog. All of our dogs are started on housebreaking, however, we do not guarantee that they will be housebroken. We offer education on how to housebreak a dog as well as other information on different situations. Every dog is spayed or neutered, current on shots, dewormed, frontline for fleas and ticks. Thank you for considering a rescue dog!!!
Come Meet Our Pets...
We often bring our dogs to the Chihuahua Meetups held at Capehart Park.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Starlett, a San Diego Lhasa Apso dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Lhasa Apso for sale in San Diego, or seeking a Lhasa Apso dog from a breeder in San Diego.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Diego already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Diego breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Lhasa Apso breeders who help with Lhasa Apso rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Diego paves the way for another one to be saved.
