Spot's Story...
Spot – we don't know why someone named him that, but he knows it, so we kept it. This guy is a gentle, beautiful Aussie/Border Collie mix. He came to us from the Show Low area when his owner had to move into a nursing home.

If you are looking for a dog that will fit right into your home, Spot is the one. He's a happy-go-lucky guy and seems to like everyone that he meets. He loves to go out on a walk; he gets so happy when the leash comes out.

Spot is mild-mannered and quiet, a really likeable fellow. He has a luxurious coat and loves to be brushed. This guy would be a nice family dog or a great addition to a single person household.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Spot, a Gilbert Border Collie/Australian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Australian Shepherd for sale in Gilbert, or seeking a Border Collie/Australian Shepherd dog from a breeder in Gilbert.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Gilbert already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Gilbert breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Border Collie/Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Gilbert paves the way for another one to be saved.
