Ellie Mae's Story...
Hi everyone! My name is Ellie Mae and I am the sweetest girl around! Do you need a hug? I've been known to give hugs! I will sit on your lap, I will drive in the car, and I will give kisses all day, every day, if you'll let me. I do very well with positive reinforcement and I already know how to sit and shake hands. I know how to fetch and I respond if you can whistle a little like a bird! I seem to like other dogs, so if you have one, I'd like to meet it. I can't be in a home with cats though, because I like to chase them. My instincts seem to get the better of me. I have lots of energy and would do very well in a home with an active family. I'm a ton of fun, and if you have the time to spend with me, I'm the dog for you!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ellie Mae, a Gilbert German Shorthaired Pointer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shorthaired Pointer for sale in Gilbert, or seeking a German Shorthaired Pointer dog from a breeder in Gilbert.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Gilbert already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Gilbert breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shorthaired Pointer breeders who help with German Shorthaired Pointer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Gilbert paves the way for another one to be saved.
