Patches's Story...
Patches is a sweet little girl who looks up at you with these soft light brown eyes in search of a protector and nurturer who can guide her properly into adulthood. Patches will need a stable environment, where there is an adult present much of the day, so that she can be effectively taught to be the good canine citizen that, in the right hands, this smart girl can become. Her sweet personality and winning looks make Patches pretty irresistible to anyone who sees her, but it is important that her new guardian be an experienced pit owner who knows how to set good boundaries firmly, but with lots of love, because this girl definitely loves to cuddle! From the sweet baby freckles on her tummy to her endearing puppy trot, as she tries to keep up on a walk while looking over her shoulder at you to make sure all is well, Patches is surely one who will capture your heart.

Act quickly to adopt Patches. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Patches, a Berkeley American Pit Bull Terrier puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Berkeley, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier puppy from a breeder in Berkeley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Berkeley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Berkeley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Berkeley paves the way for another one to be saved.
