Gabby's Story...
Never was a name more appropriate…Gabby is a talker! If you speak she answers, of course, what she says is open to interpretation but we’re sure you’ll enjoy the conversations. She prefers people and dogs to other cats (she seems to have forgotten that she is one herself). So a slow intro with another cat would be essential. She is a bit of a Velcro kitty and will latch onto her person/people. Please make sure you have lots of room in your bed because she loves to snuggle at night. She will rub up against you and let you know that she wants to be petted and you better make sure you do, she is a little demanding…but rightfully so.

If you have a quiet lifestyle and enjoy watching TV you will have a soul mate in Gabby. She is the quintessential couch potato and a great lap warmer. In other words she’s a wonderful girl looking for a forever home…

About Our Rescue Group...
Furever Friends Rescue is a 501(c)(3) corporation that has been designed to help reduce the number of intakes and euthanasia in Maricopa and Pinal Counties by helping people with life changing circumstances find new homes for their beloved pets. Individuals facing assisted living, nursing homes, hospice or those dealing with the death of a loved one now have an option: to relinquish their pets to us directly where they will be put up for adoption, thereby bypassing public intake.

Our Adoption Process...
We have a consultation form that is filled out for each animal that an individual is thinking about adopting. We then interview based upon that feedback. Once an animal is decided on, an adoption contract is signed, and the adoption fee is paid. If a person is adopting a dog, we do a home check prior to the adoption contract. Fees vary.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gabby, a Gilbert Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Gilbert, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Gilbert.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Gilbert already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Gilbert breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Gilbert paves the way for another one to be saved.
