Mihtu & Mihti's Story...
Meet Mihtu and Mihti, a 19-month old pair of bonded cockatiels. These cuties are believed to be both male, per the vet, however Mihti may be female, and can be a little cage aggressive until she is out of the cage. They may be a little small, but have big personalities! They love all the perches and toys in their cages, and are just starting to take baths on a regular basis. Their current diet consists of a good mix of pellets and seed, and they are starting to eat fruits and veggies, which seem to be new to them. You will usually find them together, and they will preen each other constantly. If they are out of the cage, both will hop on your shoulders and want to hang out with you wherever you go! Both are rather quiet but have lovely little ‘peeps’ throughout the day. Even working on your computer or relaxing on the lanai to catch a little sun is fun for them. They don’t like to be apart and if one is out of sight, the other can get a little frantic. They are learning step up and are very curious of new things that you can teach them. Won’t you give them a happy place that they can call home?

About Our Rescue Group...
Florida Parrot Rescue is dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of companion parrots. We strive to educate parrot owners on proper handling and care of parrots. Should someone be unable to keep their bird(s) for ANY reason, we want them to know there is a place to turn, and that they are not alone. It is our goal to provide a safe haven for birds that cannot stay with their owners or birds in need, and then to find those birds permanent forever homes with loving and responsible families.

Our Adoption Process...
We require an application which is free of charge, an adoption fee which varies on the bird you wish to adopt. We do NOT adopt our for breeding purposes.

Veterinary care and treatment for birds in need
Provide parrot owners with a place to bring their birds in the event that they can no longer keep them.
