Kaliope - NJ's Story...
Kaliope was surrendered to a shelter who then contacted CCDR. She is a great dog; we cannot understand why anyone would give her up! She is a 7 year old red smooth weighing 18 lbs. Kaliope is very housebroken and is great with all of the dachshunds in her foster home. She loves to sleep in the big bed under the covers, and gentle with food too. She has been polite and gentle with everyone who has visited with her in her foster home, including children. Kaliope can be shy when you first approach her, but all she really wants is to be loved. She will make a great companion for anyone who wants a happy, sweet and gentle, polite girl. Kaliope’s adoption fee is $225, and her foster home is in Sicklerville, NJ. For more information about her, contact her foster mom at 609-868-0875 or jeire@comcast.net.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kaliope - NJ, a Jacobus Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Jacobus, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Jacobus.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Jacobus already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Jacobus breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Jacobus paves the way for another one to be saved.
