Bingo's Story...
Meet Bingo. Bingo is a 2-year old neutered male Rottweiler that got himself into more trouble than his movie-star good looks could fix.
Strike One: He was picked up by a stray by a County Animal Control Officer and did not go willingly. Strike Two: He was a Rottweiler in over-crowded public animal shelter. Strike Three: The shelter employees were scared of him. Unfortunately, this combination of events left him with few [no] options.
Trained Dogs for Adoption, however specializes in the assessment, training, socialization and placement of dogs that others have written off. When we first met Bingo in his kennel at the animal shelter, we were forced to assess him from the outside of his chain-link run because he was given no access to even the rescue community. Despite his rocky introduction to shelter life, we believed that Bingo would ultimately make a loving and loyal companion. Our instincts were quickly confirmed after we were able to negotiate his release. Maybe it was simply because our rescue team was not dressed in uniform like everyone else at the shelter, but he was immediately affectionate and thankful to be released into our care.
Bingo is still in training to work out some of his rough edges, but we expect that he will soon make some lucky adopter a wonderful companion. If you have Rottweiler experience, you will recognize those challenges and embrace them as part of the charm of this breed.
Please come meet Bingo – he is worthy of your love.
