My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Max is a little 2 year old Bug. He is looking for a new home after a change in his owner's life has made it impossible for her to continue caring for him. Max is in good health and is a playful, fun-loving, affectionate little guy that would love a home with someone who enjoyed playing with him or another friendly dog to play with.


Max enjoys the best traits and characteristics of two extremely popular pet breeds - the Boston Terrier and the Pug. He is very energetic and playful, but usually after running around your home or garden, or playing with you or the kids, he'll want to curl up and sleep on your lap. This is what makes Bugs so lovable and endearing to all who own them.


Max has been left on his own a fair bit and does need some additional training in manners as he will jump up on you to greet you. He is fine left on his own in the home for a normal working day but is crate trained and sleeps in his crate at night otherwise he will take over your bed or the couch - (personally we would let him sleep in our bed). Max is house trained and knows his basic commands but can be stubborn at times.


Max loves playing with other dogs. Another friendly dog in the home to play with would be great. As he does have a lot of energy and currently likes to jump up on people he may not be a good fit for young children but would love some older children to play with. He loves attention and and loves being around the family at all times. When he is exercised properly he is no trouble at all.
