My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Cookie is a darling 18 month old doxie (mix ??) Her last owner rescued her from someone else so little is known of her genetic background. We were told she was a Dachshund-Yorkshire terrier mix but she looks like a soft coated wheaten wirehair dachshund albeit with slightly longer legs. Whatever she is, she is a cutie. Just look at her face!!!

Cookie is very sweet and gentle. She had been living with children and doing well with them. However, like many dachshunds, she has shown that she would like to chase the cats she sees when she is out and about. Cookie is fostered with a group of dogs and is fine with them but we think she would love to be someone’s one and only.

Cookie likes all people and she really would like to be in the same room as her person at all times. She loves it when the leash comes out and she gets to go for a walk.

Cookie has ignored the soft stuffed squeakies in her foster home but we recently discovered her toy weakness. She loves to chew and destroy hard rubber toys. Nothing brings her more satisfaction than gnawing the feet off a “Bad Cuz” squeaky. Cookie also likes to chew on cow hooves, bully sticks and bones.

Our biggest problem with Cookie is that she is a bit of a diva when it comes to food. We are slowly getting her to eat dog food but she does so grudgingly.

Cookie has now been spayed and she is current on her vaccinations.

If you are interested in Cookie, please fill out an adoption application and email Lindy at linla@comcast.net.
The tax deductible donation for Cookie is $250
